This morning Crafty Claire’s was announced on the radio, Capital FM whilst sat in traffic. Free plug to help with the advertising.
Twiggy and Emma rang me back after I text in about being stuck in the traffic on the A38! Really nice couple of people and very funny! Thanks Capital FM.

The improved Crafty Claire’s

2011 for Crafty Claire’s was a huge learning year and I have learnt a lot from customers, fellow traders, attended craft fairs and talking to experienced business people.

I am getting organised ready for 2012 and it has started with the purchase of a marquee. This will enable me to display all my items available for people to buy on 3x 6ft tables, rather than squeezing onto a 1x 5ft table! This should help customers see my items easily but also see the full range of items I have.

I have also started to branch out into more home made gifts, this is including soft toys/child comforters. With me being re-introduced to the craft of knitting and using a sewing machine, there might be further items coming your way! One step at a time though…

2012 Craft Fairs have been chosen today, I am currently booked in to Beeston, West Bridgford, Long Eaton and Derby town centre, but keep an eye on the ‘follow me’ page as all confirmed dates and locations will be advertised on there for you! I attended 17 fairs last year, this time I am hoping to be more selective, chose the busiest fairs for me and be a lot more local to home for evening fairs!

New stock items have also been added to Crafty Claire’s website.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

The year 2011 has been a big year for Crafty Claire’s, with the website being launched, numerous craft fairs being attended and the introduction of new products from new suppliers.

We are very much looking forward to 2012 with all the new products and of course those very popular buttons. It has been a steep learning curve, but one I have learnt a lot from to take forwards and make even better decisions.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me and I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Christmas Fairs

Crafty Claire’s has attended a number of Christmas fair’s, including Eastwood Light Switch on tonight (22nd Nov).
I currently have 2 fairs remaining, Morton Village Hall Thursday evening and Barton Marina Light switch on this Sunday.

Christmas Fayres booking up!

After attending a few craft fayres, Crafty Claire’s is in high demand and just booked a number of fayres in November.

Come and see me at the newly added locations of Shirland, Beeston, South Normanton and Derby Conference Centre.

Christmas Cards are being made and created for those special loved ones, ready for the events. It is an ideal opportunity to buy something creative for your family and friends rather than chocolates, socks and smellies. I have craft boxes to introduce a new craft to keep people entertained for hours over the Christmas breaks, rather than hearing the familiar ‘I’m bored!’.

Cold, windy day at Barton Marina

Crafty Claire’s was at Barton Marina all Bank Holiday weekend. The location is wonderful as visited by many walkers, day visitors, dog walkers and people looking for that extra special gift. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side today and it was very cold.

I have left with wind burn on the face and just thawing out, however I met some lovely people all telling me what a wind tunnel I had been stood in!
With a double stall to display all my stock, lots of people left happy having visited me.

Thank you to those that came to see me, as friends to show support. It was also nice to have a good catch up!

Next fayre is West Bridgford, 2nd and 3rd Sept and Alfreton Party in the Park 4th Sept, back to back this weekend. Order’s have been replaced to replenish the button sales!

First Day at Barton Marina

Crafty Claire’s has had a successful day at Barton Marina, Burton under Needwood, Staffs. The weather was difficult at times, raining in through the marquee but the elements overall were kind with a warm, sunny afternoon. MANY ITEMS REDUCED
